Online session

Online therapy is exactly as it sounds. It’s just the same as in-person therapy: the only thing that changes is the setting.Online therapy isn’t a new concept – it’s been around for a while now. But more and more of us have been seeing the benefits of online therapy lately, especially due to COVID. When tougher lockdown measures were in place, therapy sessions had to go digital and many clients found that virtual support invaluable. But there are lots of additional benefits beyond ease of access during a pandemic.

Personal Connection
With offline counseling, there is an opportunity to interact with your therapist in person. When you visit your therapist face-to-face, you not only process all your emotions, but you also learn new communication skills as well. ASome people prefer talking to their doctor personally rather than interacting with them through a video call.
Important for People with Serious Mental Illness
All cases of mental illness are not the same, and some people require extra attention. Sometimes online therapy cannot be the only way to deal with the ones who suffer from severe mental health problems and meeting up with a therapist in person is highly recommended. This is important, so that issues like causing harm to oneself or others, suicide etcetera can be avoided.
Building Trust
Therapeutic relationships are based on trust, which is easier to build when you meet your counselor in person. Building trust in someone could be harder to achieve with online counseling.
Insurance Coverage
When it comes to insurance coverage for mental illnesses, insurance providers are more likely to cover you for offline therapy than online counseling. However, it’s important that you understand your insurance policy and be aware of costs.
No Hassle About Technology
Since you will be meeting your counselor in person, you do not have to worry about internet connections or other technology problems coming in the way of your online counseling live sessions. Also, with offline therapy, you can focus and concentrate better without any distractions or interruptions.

Why mentalhealth awareness is important?

Mental health isn't just a conversation for people dealing with mental health disorders. It impacts our social, emotional, physical, and cognitive well-being. Unfortunately, many people don't receive the treatment that they need because of the stigma associated with mental health. Some don't even realize that treatment is available. When these people suffer quietly, they feel lonely and disenfranchised.  We miss out on their brilliance. Every year, suicide is one of the top three causes of death in the United States. And it's been on the rise in recent years. This is true for all economic classes, ethnicities, and genders, although some groups are at a markedly higher risk. Every suicide is a tragedy. Death by suicide comes at a high cost. Not only does it warrant financial losses it’s, more importantly, devastating for the survivors of the person who died. We never truly know how our actions impact another person, but if raising awareness can save a life, it is a truly worthwhile endeavor.
